DCNS intends to cut the number of its suppliers by half in a supply-chain consolidation effort aimed at helping the French warship builder and systems house reduce costs by 30 per cent over the next three years.rnCompany chairman and CEO Patrick Boissier said during a news conference in Paris on 9 September that DCNS currently had 8,000 suppliers, accounting for roughly 50 per cent of the company's annual turnover, which was EUR2.4 billion (USD3.05 billion) in 2009.
