BAE Systems Surface Ships is to cease work on the last of three offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) it is building for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG). as the company struggles to salvage the deal with the Caribbean islands republic. The Trinidad and Tobago government told BAE Systems in late September that it intended to cancel the GBP150 million (USD241.6 million) contract, which was originally signed with VT Shipbuilding (since subsumed into BAE Systems) in May 2007.
