The ex-UK Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) landing ship logistic Sir Galahad was commissioned Into the Brazilian Navy on 4 December, following a refit In Portsmouth. The relatively shallow draught of the 8,750-ton amphibious vessel, renamed Garcia D'Avila, will make it Ideally suited for counter-drugs operations and other security tasks in the Amazon river basin.
