Work on the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford's (CVN 78) propulsion plant has been completed as the US Navy (USN) confirmed the Ford-class Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) system received the green light to recover all 'props and jets' aircraft, according to the Aircraft Recovery Bulletin (ARB) released earlier this month. Crew assigned to Ford's reactor department and Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS) technicians marked the ship's major production milestone by completing the propulsion plant work on 22 July, the USN confirmed on 12 August.
