摘要

Polyanions based on carboxy-substituted poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s (PPVs) with various side chain lengths have been synthesized, and their optical properties investigated. Alternating periodic multilayer structures consisting of PPV and PPV polyanions have been fabricated by a self-assembly method on quartz or indium-tin-oxide-coated glass substrates. The dependence of the optical properties on the side chain length of carboxylic substituents or alkoxy substituents has been discussed.
