This article introduces an Automatic Train Protection and Block System using a mobile phone network that was developed as a simplified train protection system for regional railway lines. This system uses transmission lines of telecommunications companies to transmit signaling information, thereby allowing central equipment to be placed far from the trackside. Furthermore, it does not require dedicated equipment and related cables to be installed between stations, thus greatly reducing maintenance work.
