At the regular meeting, March 19, Mr. Yamada, the president of JR Central, announced that at the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line, the current 7-car train is scheduled to lengthen to 12-car from summer 2014 for the running test by Series L0. The Series L0 which has been under the running test since last August is a new type vehicle for commercial operation in 2027. JR Central has been working on correcting data at the maximum speed of 505km/h from various aspects such as vehicle and environmental performance in the test line that was expanded 42.8km.
