摘要

JR West has been taking various measures aiming to provide high-quality transport services meeting customer needs. However, there was tremendous burden on the operation personnel because the measures have been implemented with the labor-intensive process. To improve such a situation, we developed "Transportation Planning System" put into practical use from April in 2010. This system has drastically changed the overall operation flow: planning of train timetables, rolling stock operations and train crew schedules, transmitting information to field offices and scheduling of job duties in the field. This article introduces how the field duties have been systematized as a part of the System.
