摘要

We have started to work on various element technologies as an initiative to pave the way for the "next-generation railway operation system in the Tokyo metropolitan area." The Series 209 test train (Mue-Train) is being used at the test field for some of the testing, evaluation, and validation of these element technologies. These development concepts assume a long period of about ten years. Therefore, we are drawing up a comprehensive road map that will enable us to adopt and implement, whenever possible, the results of element technologies obtained during the development phrases.
