Maintenance inspection methods of railway electric equipment should be changed from conventional methods which mostly depend upon visual inspection to those made by use of measurement equipment, etc., and toward quantification of inspection result. And rate of maintenance inspection made by use of state monitoring equipment should be enlarged in order to achieve labor-saving of inspection works. Furthermore hereinafter we intend to engage in renovation of maintenance works of railway electric equipment, aiming at achieving longer life-time of related equipment and constituting altogether replacement system of equipment by promoting mechanization/ automation of related work methods.
