The interaction between multiple supersonic jets has been studied numerically using the FLUENT code. The theoretical predictions have been first validated using experimental data available for single and twin jet configurations. The spreading features of five jets, in the configuration of one central bigger jet surrounded by four smaller equi-distant peripheral jets, have been studied. The results indicate the existence of a sub-atmospheric region in the space between the jets close to the nozzles. Jet interactions commence within a distance of few diameters and complete by an axial distance of about 10 diameters. The results are compared with those of five equal jets.
