摘要

This issue of Journal of Airport Management begins with an in-depth paper by Rachel Burbidge, Policy Officer, Environment and Climate Change at EUROCONTROL, on the potential impact of climate change for both aviation operations and infrastructure, the value for airports when considering climate adaptation and the approach they might use. Rachel makes the case that pre-emptive action based on robust information is not only prudent, but also efficient and cost-effective. With the seeming growth of the post-truth world and President Trump's varied statements on backing out of the Paris Agreement on climate change (take your pick from 'cancelling',1 being 'open minded'2 to an apparent 'no comment'3), her call to arms seems especially pertinent.
