From 2002 to 2007, Stockholm Arlanda Airport managed to double its commercial revenues from SEK600m to SEKl,200m. Despite the current downturn, the airport expects to continue to increase commercial revenue on a year on year basis. This success has been achieved by implementing, among many other tools, a visit cost strategy and yield management.rnStockholm Arlanda Airport defines 'visit cost' as the cost for an airline to turn around an aircraft at the airport. A large portion of those costs are paid to the airport, although some are not. Even though airlines must sometimes pay costs to parties other than the airport, the total airline cost for operating at a certain airport is important from an airline perspective.
