Laser recording on optical recording media with thermal coloration was investigated. The basic recording principle is a thermally induced hole opening following the chemical reaction between a coloring reagent layer and a coupler reagent layer. Sensitivity dependence on light absorbers in this optical recording medium was investigated. Almost equalized sensitivity for the three‐colors recording was achieved by adjusting the thicknesses of the light absorbers.
