The International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM), an international body with over 100 member manufacturers of broadcast equipment, has requested through its technical subcommittee that the AES provide flags in channel status to indicate whether an audio recording or bitstream is aligned to EBU R68 level or SMPTE 155 level.
