What is a successful student? To investigate common attributes of successful students, this study investigated students' study habits, labor force participation by majors and classification. The results indicated that studying with a partner or taping lectures tended to be associated with lower grade point averages; however, being able to spot mistakes in one's own work or being able to "see " notes in your head while taking exams were associated with higher grade point averages. The study also found that neatness matters.
