摘要

Carry-over of fine particles is one of the eventually problems for a bubbling fluidized bed incinerator. Elutriation out of control not only affects incineration performance also causes a loss of operation cost. Measurements of elutriation rate were carried out in a bench scale bubbling fluidized bed incinerator, which was used to combust ricehusk. From the experimental data, the elutriation rate constant K _i~* for fine particles were obtained and correlated with parameters. Meanwhile, the paper shows a comparison for the K _i~* between this study and the published prediction equations derived or studied in non-incineration modes of fluidized bed. It is found that the K _i~* obtained from the study are less than those proposed by most previous researches. A new and modified correlation is proposed to estimate the elutriation rate of fine particles emitted from such the bubbling fluidized bed incinerator. Primary operation variables (superficial gas velocity and incineration temperature) affecting the elutriation rate are also delineated in the paper.
