摘要

Polymer waveguides were successfully fabricated by a new method, which was easy and simple process. The refractive index of the Electro-Optic UV polymer used in these experiments was changed by an extremely low electric field. The experiment of the near field measurement with end fire coupling had shown that the light had been totally restricted inside the core layer of the waveguide. The near-field measurement for channel waveguide had shown that the polarization dependent loss is very low. The measured propagation loss was 0.32dB/cm for 1.3μm and 0.3dB/cm for 1.55μm.
