This paper provides an update on the use of personal computers in control systems for coating and laminating machinery. As users of coated and laminated products have become more sophisticated, their Demands on converters have resulted in a need for machines of growing complexity. Much of that complexity resides in the control system, which is addressed by include- Ing a computer as part of the control system.
