摘要

A universal approach to solving the problem of fitting a design of a digital system into a fixed archi- tecture of a complex programmable logical device (CPLD) is considered. The problem is reduced to partition- ing the set of the project primitives into disjoint sets, each of which is implemented in a special functional block of CPLD. Sequential and iterative algorithms for solving this problem are proposed. The sequential algorithm gives us the possibility of obtaining an initial solution that can afterwards be refined with the help of iterative algorithms. This approach can easily be adapted to any architecture of CPLD.
