In this 2010 summer issue of the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, we feature articles on New Public Management and the corporatization of critical infrastructures, organizational risk from the viewpoint of managers, community adoption of disaster-related preventative measures, and cellular usage in the age of public anxiety. The issue concludes with a preliminary report on risk preparedness among youth.rnPetter Almklov and Stian Antonsen discuss the implications of New Public Management on the organizations that maintain critical infrastructures and how the corporatization of these organizations implies a dismantling and fragmentation of previous integrated companies.
