Er_(0.04)Y_(0.96)Al_3(BO_3)_4, Er_(0.015)Yb_(0.11)Y_(0.875)Al_3(BO_3)_4 and NdAl_3(BO_3)_4 epitaxial layers were grown from K_2Mo_3O_(10)-based fluxed melts by an LPE method. SGDS grown YAl_3(BO_3)_4 and NdAl_3(BO_3)_4 single crystals were used as substrates. Growth kinetics, homogeneity and micromorphology of Er:YAl_3(BO_3)_4, (Er,Yb): YAl_3(BO_3)_4 and NdAl_3(BO_3)_4 thin films were investigated.
