Crystal growth of SrS Te solution and its optical properties

摘要

SrS crystals containing Te in a range from 0.1 to 0.3 at /100 were grown from a Te solution at 1000 deg C.SrS: Te showed characteristic emission bands and corresponding absorption bands. There were two room-temperature (RT) cath-odoluminescence (CL) bands at 361 and 410 nm, two 77 K photoluminescence (PL) bands at 352 and 398 nm, and two corresponding 77 K PL excitation (PLE) bands at 310 and 324 nm, respectively. The large optical depths and Stokes shifts of the luminescence centers and the broad bandwiths of theemission bands suggest the two emission bands are attibutable to the decay of excitions at Te isoelectronic traps.
