Pure and doped crystals of meta-dinitrobenzene have been grwon using a Bridgman-Stockbarger method. We have investigated the influence of the doant (oxine, resorinol) on the optical proeprties of the bulk and film samples obtained using crystalline fragments from the melt grown ingos. Transmission varations reflecting the qualtiy of the material are connected with the purity level and the grwoth conditions.
