摘要

Main factors of the technological process of preparaion of lead tungstate (PWO) scintilltor crystals of large length are considered. Temperature range of thermochemical stabitiy of PWO melt is determiend. Effects of the oxygen content kin the atmosphere during growth and annealing are studied. Optimum oxygen concentratins have been established, which allow one to obtain PWO scintillators up to 230 mm long with improved and reproducible funcional characteristics.
