Tetragonal scheelite-lie (space group I4_1/a) NaBi(WO_4)_2 single crystals have been pulled using the Czochralski method from a stoichiometric melt with pulling rates in the 0.8-4 mm/h range. Differential thermal analysis experiments show that the crystal melts congruently at 935±3 deg C. The lattice parameters deduced from θ-2θ X-ray diffraction scans in powdered crystals are α=5.30 A and c=11.58 A. The transparency range of undoped crystals is 0.4-4.9 um.
