Editors Marito Gracia and Jean Fares's Youth in Africa's Labor Markets is an ambitious manuscript with broad appeal. Part 1 of the book benchmark transitions in one country against those in other countries.rnPart 2 of the book presents more in-depth information about youth employment in selected countries. The excellent chapter 7 notes "data for indicators relating specifically to youth employment remain scarce in most developing countries. The empirical basis for formulating policies and programs promoting youth employment and successful transitions from school to work is therefore limited" (p. 110).
