摘要

Experiments were designed to study the toxic effect of heavy metal mercuric chloride on freshwater crab Barytelphusa cunicularis. The Lc SO values for 24,48,72 and 96 h exposure periods framed out by using the probit method. Lc SO values of 24,48,72 and 96 h exposure periods were calculated as 1.8,1.14,0.95 and 0.66 ppm, respectively. The highest Lc 50 values were observed at 24 h exposure periods and it is found to decrease constantly with increasing exposure periods. The present results indicate that even low concentration of heavy metal is also much toxic to B. cunicularis.
