A study was conducted at Georai Tanda in Aurangabad to evaluate the effect of biomedical waste ash (BMWA) on growth of wheat (Triticum astivum). Analysis of biomedical waste ash was found useful containing calcium (8.1 %) and phosphorus (9.9%). In pot experiment groups viz. urea, super phosphate, ash of BMW first (2 g) and second (4 g) were compared with control group and differences denoted on the basis of physiological characteristics as height (Control 10.9 cm; Urea 16.7 cm;SP.20.1 cm;AshofBMW first 18.1 cm & second 19.7 cm), leaves/plant (Control 5.8; Urea 6.3; SP.6.7; Ash of BMW first 6.5 and second 6.6), no. of grain/cob (Control 2.4; Urea 3; SP.3.9; Ash of BMW first 3.4 and second 3.6), no.of grain/pot (Control 12.3; Urea 15;SP.19.6; Ash ofBMW first 17.3 and second 18.3), wt.of grain/pot (Control 0.27 g; Urea 1.68 g; SP. 2.66 g; Ash of BMW first 2.50 g and second 2.58 g). The results indicated that super phosphate and BMW ash first and second group were given better result than control and urea group plants. This investigation indicated that BMW ash is an eco-friendly product and can be used as a fertilizer.
