Jason Swarts is an associate professor of technical communication at North Carolina State University where he teaches courses in technical writing, information design, and usability testing. His research is on mobile information technologies and computer supported cooperative work practices. Michael Knievel teaches courses in technical and professional communication and composition at a the University of Wyoming. His research interests include the rhetoric of law enforcement and the ways in which the relationship between technology and the humanities is manifested in technical and professional communication programs.
