The Association of Old Crows (AOC) is an international nonprofit professional association with more than 13,000 members and 200 companies and research organizations engaged in the science and practice of Electronic Warfare (EW), Information Operations (IO), EM Spectrum Operations, and related disciplines. It's membership spans 53 countries. The AOC was founded in 1964. The name, "Old Crows," emerged from the first large-scale use of EW during the World War Ⅱ. The Allied Radar Countermeasure operators used the code name "Ravens" and used receivers and transmitters to monitor and jam enemy radar and communications. Military jargon later changed the name "Ravens" to "Crows." EW has been, and remains, a critical enabling capability in military operations in peace and war.
