摘要

The aim of the present study is to estimate the infleucne of convective heat exchagnes on the cooling process of a rotating solid or heat pipe disc, subjected to an air flow parallel to its surface. The application to the TGV brake-disc-cooling during the braking phase is carrie dout. For a rotatign disc in superposed air flow, the latter is a dominant factor in the heat transfer coefficietn. The modelling of the heat transfer is achieved in soild and heat pipe discs, when simultaneously subjected to convective losses and entering heat flow. The simulation is validated through tests carried out on differnet model discs. Finally, the prtcular application to the rail braking (TGV) is completed. The temepratures computed inside the heat pipe brake-disc rotating in still air, during the braking pahse remain lower than those obtained insdie the solid brake-disc in superposed air flow.
