摘要

Alba Iulia and its fortress represent a tourist destination well known in the country and abroad especially for its anthropic resources and its relatively diverse structure of the tourism offer. The historical fortress of Alba Iulia has a rich cultural heritage, being endowed with historical monuments and medieval art, traces from the history of Central Europe, Romania and Transylvania. Starting from 2010, in the Historical fortress, the City Council began implementing a rehabilitation and organisation project which, after completion, will give another look to the fortress. The number of tourists is continuously growing from a few thousands in 2006 to some tens of thousands in 2010. This article shows the results of a research conducted among tourists who visited the historical fortress of Alba Iulia during June-August 2011. Conducting studies on tourists satisfaction with the touristic offer of the fortress will highlight the various attributes that contribute to it, and the relationship between these attributes and tourists satisfaction characterised in terms of some demographic features. Also, the results of the research can be used to better promote this touristic destination.
