摘要

The Third Congress of the Meso-American Association for Ecotoxicology and Environmental Chemistry (AMEQA) was held April 7-12, 2008 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City. The conference was attended by about 120 scientists representing Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Portugal, USA and Venezuela. Papers were presented in both oral and poster sessions covering the following areas: environmental management, environmental monitoring, environmental chemistry, risk assessment, remediation, experimental models and human toxicology, biomarkers/bioindicators, concentration, fate and transport of pollutants, aquatic ecotoxicology, and network research as related to ecotoxicity.
