摘要

This Note introduces a method to evaluate the risk of a preplannedflight path in the context of an autonomous flight transport mission ofa small fixed-wing unmanned aircraft system. The evaluation methodis demonstrated for the case of a complete loss of control of theaircraft followed by flight termination with a parachute, which ismathematically calculated by a set of nonlinear kinematic equationsand the uncertainty of environmental effects, such as the wind.The integration of the risk assessment method into an existingpath-planning algorithm permits the generation of a risk-minimalpath based on the proposed risk definition. The ground risk of thegenerated path is significantly lower compared to a path of minimalflight time, improving the safety for people close to UAS operations.
