The advent of Al marked the deterioration of mature bulls on farm and the need for secure bull housing and handling facilities has been replaced with nitrogen flasks and semen straws. When semen is delivered on farm it goes straight into the flask and when you come to defrost little thought goes to the bull that supplied it - where he is housed and perhaps what he even looks like. Whilst some bull studs across the world may not include five-star accommodation - Cogent Breeding's 'Beachin Stud' prides itself on its top-class lodgings which is home to a selection of the world's great Al sires.
