At some point in every librarian's career, there comes the time when a difficult conversation must take place with an employee, a co-worker, or a manager. What makes a difficult conversation? That very much depends on the person anticipating one. It may be an emotional situation, or one where authority must be exercised, or perhaps conflict of any sort is difficult for the person. This excellent guide is targeted to those conversations, no matter why they are particularly difficult for us or with whom we must speak in the workplace.
