Since Nb_3Al shows better strain-tolerances of superconducting properties than those of Nb_3Sn, the Nb_3al multifilamentary wire is one of the most promising candidate superconductors for the large-scaled high-field su- perconducting applications. Although the Nb_3Al conductors with of-stoichiometric compositions fabricated by low-temperature diffusion reaction show higher Jc values in fields below 14T, their Jc values rapidly decrease on high fields above 14T due to their relatively low Hc2 (4.2K) caused by their off-stoichiometric compositions.
