摘要

Vasttrafik is the public transport authority in West Sweden. Public transport services comprise buses, trams, commuter trains, regional trains and ferry traffic. Gothenburg itself has 500,000 inhabitants and has put in place an ambitious strategy aimed at raising the market share of public transport from 25% today to 40% in 2025. This long-term strategy looks at rethinking public transport in the whole region through, for example, the redesigning of the network, improvements in efficiency (faster journeys) and better integration of transfer points in the city environment.
