Countless projects throughout the world have studied and presented the situation of young people, but none addressing public transport and youth has been produced internationally.rnUntil now, no benchmarks have existed on this subject, apart from some regional and local country references.rnAnd this lack of references reflects the lack of knowledge and interest of young people in the world of public transport.rnYet, public transport can benefit young people as it can stimulate international careers, offer best practices, and advocate a youth-oriented public transport. It is therefore time to act now, not tomorrow.rnThe challenge for the world of public transport is to support youth with programmes and policies that empower them to take advantage of the opportunities and benefits offered by globalisation.
