PTI: This interview provides an opportunity to congratulate Mr Busquets and Mr Ramette on their respective terms of office as chairmen of the Metro Assembly and Metro Committee. Metro was invented in the nineteenth century, but what does it represent here at the beginning of the third millennium? Does it (still) have a future? A.B.: Metro systems are still a vital mobility tool for major cities. Nowadays there isn't a single user who could conceive of his or her city without its metro system, even if the project may have sparked controversy prior to opening.
