The following article is the result of collaboration across the often-great divide of scholarship and practice. Since these two doctors (a PhD and an MD) joined forces, we have greater insight into the dynamics of decision making under conditions of time pressure, incomplete information, multiple priorities, and numerous changing variables-conditions many managers face today. Coget and Keller have legitimized the essential roles of analysis, intuition, and emotion in making decisions.
