With the revelations of Edward Snowden's leaking of National Security Agency (NSA) information, the tensions between the imperatives of ethics and security have once again come into sharp focus. As the Snowden/Prism case unfolds, it is perhaps worthwhile reconsidering the previous game-changing whistle-blower, particularly with his trial under way.
