摘要

This research paper of Thailand s international trade and negotiations is divided into two main components. First part deals with international trade related to Thailand s trade policy strategy. This part helps imply the connection between Thailand and international trade which grows more bilaterally, regionally and pluralistically complex. The second part concerns Thailand s trade policy expertise emphasizing both quality and quantity in order to figure out the ways to maximize Thailand s existing trade policy expertise and to produce new ages required for today s and the future s needs. To ponder Thailand s trade policy framework and capacity is essential data for Thailand s trade policymaking strategy in the future. The result of the study shows that Thailand s international trade and negotiation policies have been historically through times and responded various changes and challenges. Recently, Thailand s international trade policy strategy, as most countries in the world, has great emphasis on bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) as seen from Thailand s serious efforts to succeed diversified FTAs. However, Thailand has a great number of challenges. Human resources and governmental institutions seem to be the most serious weakness if compared to our case studies, Australia and Singapore, which have both government agency efficiency and policy effectiveness. Challenges reflected from Thailand s previous experiences and lessons learned from Australian and Singaporean case studies lead to the solutions and framework for Thailand s trade policymaking strategy.
