The Inter-College of Physical Chemistry (ICPC) conference was started in the 1970s by Late Professor Mitsuru TANAKA (Fukuoka Univ.) and Professor Keishiro SHIRAHAMA (Saga Univ.). The main aim of ICPC is to provide Ph.D. students and undergraduate students with research reports, and engage them in information exchange and high-quality discussions to complete their graduation thesis; the ICPC has continued to evolve and cover various fields. Universities throughout the Kyushu region have participated in the conference, so it is very lively.
