Space based multispectral remote sensing has gained considerable importance in pro- viding information on earth resources in various disciplines. The LISS-I and LISS II cameras of the Indian Remote Sensing Satellites IRS 1A/1B have provided enormous data for remote sensing applications. From the point of view of data analysis and interpretation, the two important performance characteristics of multispectral cameras (sensors) are MTF and band to band registration.
