The pressure for wind turbines will continue and indeed increase. Recent growth has been exponential. The need and demand for energy are huge, and there is genuine national anxiety about meeting the demand. Old power stations are closing down. The new nuclear stations are very late in coming on stream. Gas storage capacity is low. The wind turbine industry is strong. Though objectors are better organised and better informed. The role of the judge remains as always. Is there due process? Are the appropriate policies being followed? Is the evidence persuasive? Is the decision of the decision-maker reasonable and rational and lawful?
