Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have been considered in the last years as one of the most promising technologies for very high-efficiency electric energy generation from natural gas, both with simple fuel cell plants and with integated gas turbine-fuel cell systems. Among the SOFC technologies, tubular SOFC stacks with internal reformating have emerged as one of the most metere technology, with a serious Potential for a future commercialization.
