This paper explores the subject of homeless from the perspective of researchers. The authors show that the prevailing model of social science inquiry tends to overlook the broader systemic causes of homelessness. As an alternative, the authors propose the use of participatory action research. Over time, this approach should bring together victims of homelessness with researchers of homelessness and efforts to address the problem of homelessness should improve.
