This will surely be as successful as Volume 1 which dealt with the West Gloucester and Wye Valley lines. Collecting these images from a wide number of noted photographers has been a labour of love for Neil Parkhouse, proprietor of Lightmoor Press. The result is an outstanding portrait of the Forest of Dean, almost every image being a study of the railway in the landscape - so different from mainline monographs that abound with anonymous trackside views of express trains.
